offMetro expands coverage to Los Angeles to connect more urban dwellers to local adventures, car optional.

NEW YORK (May 9, 2017) —

offMetro.com announced today that its award-winning green travel site is re-launching their offMetro SF site as offMetro California in order to expand coverage to those living in Los Angeles.

“I’m thrilled to be part of growing this site and bringing great car optional getaways to more Californians,” said Angela Matano, the new editor of the revamped offMetro California.

The new California site will include inspired getaways from both Los Angeles and California, many of which can be done in just a day or weekend by train, bus, bike or boat.

“We’re seeing an increased commitment and interest in Los Angeles to travel without the dependance on cars”, offMetro’s publisher Sarah Knapp noted, “making it great timing to provide travel itineraries that support that lifestyle.”

At a time when adventure travel is booming and climate change continues to be a hot topic, offMetro is uniquely positioned to offer a useful resource for adventure travelers seeking to lighten their carbon footprint.
